A tiny Japanese restaurant in Chiswick (near Turnham Green station). They only have 8 seats (4 tables), so booking in advance is recommended (by phone only). I went there for lunch and had the salmon teriyaki (set lunch, also including miso soup, rice and vegetables). I also shared a pot of green tea, warm sake and a bowl of rice with salmon roe and urchin. Everything was delicious and I’m looking forward to coming back. Very reasonable price (31 per person). Last but not least, I loved the cat-themed decorations (very minimalist).
I would say this restaurant is incredibly authentic . Highly recommend unadon just made my day . 10 of 10 cozy and friendly 2 Japanese owner . They have only 4 tables you need to book I were just lucky !
Excellent experience! Very cosy family-run restaurant. The food was extremely good and the service as well. Both the unagi bowl and the Toro sashimi were spectacular.
An authentic Japanese hideaway run by a couple, only have 8 seats which you better to book in advanced. The sushi and sashimi are very fresh and tasty. They also made a very good tempura and hot dishes.
I ordered a sashimi rice bowl and it was amazingly good! The bowI was full of sashimi which was all very fresh. I felt like I was in a restaurant in Japan! There are only 8 seats in the restaurant so better call up to book in advance.
Very cute and underrated Japanese restaurant run by a lovely Japanese couple. They only have 8 seats which means prior booking is required. The food is freshly made by the husband as his wife takes the orders and serves. Their fish are all super fresh and tasty, you’d be able to tell the difference immediately. My favourite has got to be their double decker unagi bowl and seared salmon nigiri which is amazing. A must try if you’re in the neighbourhood!
Lovely Japanese restaurant, close to Turnam green! It is authentic place, run by a Japanese couple! There are just 4 table for seating inside, make sure you make a reservation. The food was delicious!!They have a lunch set menu, we tried the salmon teriyaki and it was very tasty! We also had mini uni Ukradon- with urchin and it was the highlight of the meal.Definitely top on my list for Japanese restaurants!
Delicious, and reasonably priced authentic Japanese food. I really debated sharing the little gem of a restaurant- simply because it has 8 tables and I want to keep it to myself. The owners are welcoming and knowledgeable, the vibe is intimate and genuine japan. The feeling is 'slightly smug and in on a secret of great food in London'. Enjoy! I just hope you don't book a day when I need a table!
